Robert Lee Brewer’s Poem-a-Day prompt: "write a metaphor poem. That is, write a poem built around a metaphor. Maureen Thorson’s NaPoWriMo prompt: “a poem in which a villain faces an unfortunate situation, and is revealed to be human (but still evil).” Going just with Robert's "metaphor poem" today, a haiku about today's weather here in Iowa. Not coming up with a suitable villain who is human but evil. Well, I can. One comes readily to mind, in DC, but I'm gonna give that vibe a break today. April Snow Above we see Alice blue coloration in Antarctic ice floes. Alice blue, or blue-white, was Teddy Roosevelt's daughter Alice's signature color. I'm fascinated by the origin of "Alice blue" (at first I thought of Alice's blue frock in "Alice in Wonderland", but regardless, a very nice haiku. This has been a cantankerous spring so far, eh?
